Hello.

Ok. I have been a good person. My grades haven't been exemplery but I'm fixing that. I probably do spend a bit too much time online, but I see no problem with that. I mean, I'm stuck in small town/suburb which I love but that offers nothing. The only movie theater we ever had hear went heels up years ago. The newpaper we get is written at an 8th grade reading level and doesn't really offer anything good. I mean, the internet really does open a portal to the world for me (I know, I know, I'm being trite again). However, I know there is other stuff going on outside the confines of this small island. Some of the friends I've made online I can't call up and talk to. I don't my parents would be too happy seeing Conneticut or Minnesota or Saskatoon on the phone bill. No, I talk to these people via chats. Without them I would never have known who Lester B. Pearson was, or what my favorite band is doing, or even how people really feel about thier jobs while they are working there. My timer for AOL just came up and I have less then 5 minutes left. I tape trade online, I read my mail online, I have a web site and web ring to maintain. YOu can't do all that in an hour. If I could I would be connected 24/7, not nessesarily doing something, but just keeping the portal open.
