*2000-05-11 - 17:36:58* Whoo Hoo!! Quick announcement! One of my best friends (Bender) was asked to showcase her singing/guitar playing skills in front of the music theory classes tomorrow! Go her! In other news, my life is boring as ever. The Moxy Früvous House Party is practically in our grasp. Unfortunatly, I was told a couple nights ago, that I won't be able to attend. C'est la vie. Lauren's going in my place and she's thrilled :-) As for the Appel Farm festival, my Dad says "...that's a definite maybe. I'll have to check with your mother." So, I'm probably going to that. My parents are cool. Hmm...what else? Had the Calculus AP today. One tougie problem that I couldn't answer and that was it. Not too bad. History tomorrow. Gotta read over those US History 1 facts I never learned (not because I'm a bad student or anything, I never took US History 1). Chem test also tomorrow. Gotta read up on those gas formulas. Not study, read up and jot. If I study, I fail, period. If I don't study or just jot down things, I pass. It's just me. I wouldn't recommend it to any up and coming student though. Speaking of Chem, my Chemistry teacher is *the best*. First off, she keeps insisting that she's not a teacher, she's a Chemist paid to teach. This is true, she doesn't have a teachers licence, but a degree in Chemistry. Second, she gets mad at fellow teachers and students. A quick anecdote: Last week, a couple scantilly dressed girls were trotting down the hallways, laughing and talking really loud, and interrupting classes. No lie my Chemistry teacher, married with a child, yells out "What are you sluts doing?! Get out of here and quick disturbing my class! Go hang out at Pacific Avenue!" And then slams the door. No lie. This is one teacher you don't want to mess with. A second anecdote: Today, there was this man named "John-John" who made an announcement about how students who were on the Honor Rolls could come to Friday's game for free, and how he loved the school, etc. He sounded a wee bit too excited. Like he was high on some of the stuff the kids were selling that day. Anyway, this was, of course, during our Chem class. My dear Chem teacher (Mrs. Arsenis is her name) yells at the loud speaker "Stop spitting on the microphone! Good Lord, I need an umbrella over here! Knock it off!" She's too funny. Seriously. You come to my Chem class you will not forget her. Anyway, that's enough praise for my Chem teacher. Back to my boring life. Hopefully I'll be able to get together with all my friends this weekend, we haven't seen each other in a long while, and I miss them. ::sigh:: More tomorrow. ________________________________________________________
