Today has been a 50/50 day. In my world, this means that it was good and bad. First the good news:

I'm getting an A in History. This is very good. I have never been the best history student in the world, so the fac that I'm *3rd in the class* really upped my day. Another good thing that happened today was that my 2 friends, Leah and Lauren, were in the school variety show. They sang the song I Love My Boss, and they were *great*! They were on key, they were pretty energetic, and the audiance actually clapped along! Now, if only the audiance had rhythym...

Now for the bad news (happy people caution):

I was shopping for summer clothes today, and saw an old friend o' mine's sister there. We talked a bit, and I asked the sister how the friend was doing. Now, friend is less then a year older then me, and would have been in the same grade. Except for the fact that she dropped out of school in a drunken rage, and is now pregnant. She's living with her Dad now, because she's in such a downward spiral, that her Mom can't handle her anymore.

I tried calling her, but she was out. Before she moved away, she and I were best friends, and now, if she decides not to have an abortion, she's going to be a parent. She's still a friend, but having known her, I am not sure how fit a parent she'll be. I want to help her so badly. Pull her out of her rut, get her going down the right path again. However, I don't know if she'll let me, I don't know how I would help her, and it's driving me nuts. I don't even know how she feels. I wish she were home. I wish we could talk. I am *never* getting mixed up in that shit. I don't care if people say I'm a straight edge, I am never getting into anything like that, and I highly recommend that other people don't either.

Opinion of the moment:

The song "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" from the Lion King sounds really really neat in French. "Je voudrais deja etre roi!"
