Well, I apologize for the last entry because it was lame. I'll do better tonight. I hope.

Well, since I had no clue as to what to write, Carey suggested I write an "epic poem :)... with a hero on a quest and stuff. like the odyssey." So, here goes. An Improv Epic Poem By Me ::crosses fingers::

Faw away and long ago
Lived a man, very bold
He had hair of red and eyes of gray
And went on a quest, far way
A quest to find the rarest of rare
A good pop singer, without blond hair.
I guess that I forgot to mention
he's a record exec., a long way from pension
Across the land, he traveled long
Only to find lots of Brittany clones
He said "Oh no! This cannot be!"
"What's happening to this country?!"
He went to Florida, Russia, Texas and Rome
Toronto, India, California and Nome
New Zealand, Austrialia, and G-d knows where
Before he finally wound up in Delaware.
There, while scouring Wilmington
He heard a nifty folky song
She had hair of brown, and eyes of blue
And played an awesome guitar too.
After the set, he asked her name.
She replied "I'm Shane"
He told her of his business there
And asked if that's her natural hair
She said "Yes it is, and I'm glad you've come."
"Sign the mailing list, ok, hon?"
"I've 2 more sets to do today"
"And my fans want to talk the day away"
So she left the exec. pondering why
She treated him like a regular guy.
Are grass roots chicks all like this?
No wonder so few make it in show-biz
Yet as he watched her natter and banter
He wondered which life was better
So as you see, he's no hero
He's just a pawn for a label's ego.
People like Shane who work and sweat
They are the ones on whom you should bet
In 10 more years, she'll still be singing
And Brit and Chris.. they'll be nothing.
Oh, and Carey, this is for you...
The naive exec. saw a horrible purple people eating monster, and got turned to goo.
