*04.06.2002 - 5:02 p.m.* Oh yeah! My trip up to see Joe! So, on April 2nd, I went up to Binghamton, NY to see my buddy Joe, whom I haven't seen since November. The 6.5 hour rides up were fine. No problems. So, I arrived, and I saw Joe and his girlfriend, Raine. Raine is a sweetheart! I love her to death! She and him go together *so well*. They really do. I hope they stay together for a good long while. So, we went to his Mom's house, where we all would be staying. She has 2 cats and 3 dogs. All of them incredibly stupid, but very very sweet. We hung out there for a bit, and I gave him his birthday/Christmas present, the soundtrack to Rent. He loved it :-) Then we went out for Chinese food, and then to Walmart. Raine needed to get some hiking sandals. We got those, and went back to his Mom's house to listen to joe play the violin, and watch a movie. Joe is a very good violin player, and singer. If you are ever near Binghamton NY, and the college choir is singing, go and see him. We got up to the part where Morpheus was taken, and Cypher was killed when Joe and Raine got tired and went to bed. This was at around 12:30am. I stayed awake a little longer before falling asleep on the couch at around 1. For some reason, I woke up at 5:45. I got dressed, wrote a bit, and took a walk outside. At around 6:30 Joe and Raine woke up. We all ate breakfast, and hung out for a bit just chatting. Then we went up to Ithica. We went on a walk along this river thing, and Joe showed us where people could cliff dive, and just some incredibly pretty scenery. I wish I hadn't worn the pants I did, so that I could have gone down onto the rocks with them...ah well. Another time, definitely. After that, we went to commons...this little shopping plaza thing...like a Fußgangerzone. I was in this one bookstore, and picked up a book of e.e. cummings poetry and how the one guy analyzes them, a book of Medieval English Lyrics, and Ars Amatoria by Ovid. After doing the shops thing for a bit, it was time to head back to Binghamton so I could catch my bus. We said our goodbyes and gave our hugs, and I buessed back at 2:10. By 9:20 I was back in the dorm. It was a great little trip...I would do it again in a couple months. ________________________________________________________
