First: Oh my G-d...I'm listening to New Kids On the Block...again.

Ok, now that that confession is out of my system, I can tell you about my fabulous weekend. On Friday night I saw the master of comedy, Bill Cosby, right here at my college with my family, Dave, Lis, and her family. He was really in good form. He talked about growing up and getting old and being married and how men and women are so freakin' different. At the end, he did his classic dentist bit. It was a really very enjoyable 2 hours. Afterwards, we all went to Mama Flora's to eat dinner, and it was (as always) very good. My Dad gave me my new cell phone, which is really spiffy. I've already gotten a good grasp on text messaging. Then my parents dropped me and Dave off, and they went home. And Lauren loved the gameboy accessories I got her.

Then Saturday rolled around. I was supposed to work from 11-7, but after my break, Erin came up to me and asked if I could stay an extra 2 hours because they didn't have a lot of people closing. Since I had just handed in my 2-weeks notice that day, I agreed. So, I worked my first 10 hour shift in a long time. After work I came home and watched QAF for a couple hours. Then I went to sleep.

Sunday started out not that great. Dave had told me that I'd see him on Saturday, and I didn't. Then he said I'd see him on Sunday. So, I woke up at 11:30, thinking that he might be online. He wasn't. I tried calling, no answer. So I read. By two o'clock I was fed up with waiting so I took a shower. After I dried off, I sat down at my computer when who should be online? So we talked briefly, and I told him that I'd come by to pick him up.

As soon as I got there, the weather had cleared up, the temperature was nice, and there was a slight breeze. A beautiful day. Dave's mom was standing outside talking to neighbors, and Dave was doing something with his engine. We all stood outside and talked for a bit, then Dave and I left for the mall. The plan was to pick up a hair bleach kit and bleach Dave's hair. Instead, we wound up going to ACME for lunch, and eating it in the local park. After lunch we went for a walk.

Then we came back to my dorm and chilled out for a bit. Mandy came by and asked if she could live in my room for the rest of the semester. I, being the curious friend, asked why, considering she lived right across the hall from me. It turns out that she and Elisa had a long, complicated fight, and that she couldn't stand living with her anymore. This wasn't good, as they are both my friends, and I hate seeing friends fight. So, I talked with Mandy, and I said I'd talk with Elisa. After that, Dave and I were waiting for Elisa, and we decided that for dinner, we'd order in Chinese. So we did, and it was good. Then we went for a walk after dinner around the lake.

When we got back, Elisa was here, so I talked to her. Elisa filled in a lot of holes that Mandy didn't know about. I told Elisa that I was gonna tell Mandy, and she said ok. I filled Mandy in on what she didn't know, making the fight that much more complicated. I told her that she basically had two options, either talk things out with Elisa, or apply for new room assignments next semester. I told her to sleep on it, and left. I then told Elisa what had transpired, and told her that I hoped everything worked out. After all that, I drove Dave home, drove myself back, and went to sleep.

Now it is Monday morning, and I have a class at 9:30.
