Wow...Anne Sexton taught at Boston U. the same time my Mom went there. She started teaching in 1970, the same year my Mom started...whoa...must ask Mom about this.

Well, it's officially official. Dave and I are done.

Now, comes the tough part...sobering up. It's like a junkie getting off a drug, I have to go through Dave withdrawl. I know that if I see him now, I'll only want to get back together with him. And we've all seen what that's led to. So, I'm breaking contact for a month. If after a month, I still want to talk to him, I will.

I will not date him again.

I will not be his girlfriend again...at least not in the immediate future.

He's got a lot of growing up to do, and I need to realize that I can be independent again. I need to feel good about myself again. I'm working my ass off (literally) at the gym and putting a lot more time in on school work.

So, that's what's new in my life. I'm sure Leah and Lauren are positively thrilled.

My friend Meg is actually going through the break up thing as well. Seeing her get herself back on her feet makes me realize that I'll be fine too.
