*04.01.2004 - 7:56 a.m.* Hacking stuff up out of your lungs is never fun... Unfortunately, this is my 3rd day of it. I think it's getting better though. I've been taking Tylenol Severe Congestion, and it helps me breathe. On the plus side, my second story for Fiction Workshop has been pretty well recieved so far. This makes me happy. I have a lot more writing to do, but for a first try, it's good. I am meeting with some sort of avisor the day before I register for classes. I figure I'll register for Summer and Fall classes at the same time, because we are about 99% sure that we got the duplex that we really want :-) Oh! I don't think I've written about that, have I? Ok, Me, Lynne, Cam, and Dave all want to live together this coming semester. Cam is transfering to this school, I want to get out of this room, Lynne's lease is up, and Dave wants out of his parents house. And we all want to stay together. So, we saw this really nice place, that we all aggreed we needed to have. It's a duplex right off the main road near the college. Four bed rooms, 2 bathrooms, two kitchens, two seperate bills for water, sewer, heat, gas, etc. It's REALLY nice...and rent is $1700 a month. Rent includes water and sewer, but not heat. So we figure that we need to pay rent, heat, and cable. Which will probably wind up being $525 a month for each of us during the winter, tops. Monetarily speaking, this is the second best deal we've come accross. The best deal we found was a four bedroom house with a 3 car garage for $1525 a month. But it was in the middle of ghetto Trenton. And no one really wanted to live there. Fortunatly, we think this duplex is pretty much ours...knock on wood. We called her up a couple days after seeing the place, and after seeing the ghetto Trenton place, and we basically told her that we were really serious about renting the duplex...so serious in fact that we would give her the first month's deposit now, if that's what she needed. She told us that she appreciates how serious we are, and that she was going to Paris, but that the day after she got back she would call us first. So, we're hopefull. We are under a really tight budget. Lynne and Dave can't afford much more then $500/month. I don't want my parents to pay much more then they are right now (which is still cheaper then dorm life). And Cam is paying about 2x as much for where he's living now...so any place other then that is better financially. But yeah, that's the big thing. If we get this place, then Lynne and Dave can now have a HQ for the production company they want to start up. Let me think...what else... Hellboy is a good comic. My plan for this summer is to work and take summer classes. And with this whole transformation thing...I'll be taking less classes in the coming semester. Maybe I can strike a deal with work...something along the lines of, "I would love to work full time, but I really hate working with Adam. I don't like him, I don't like the way he works. If I could be assured that I wouldn't have to work with him anymore, I would definitely increase my hours." If I could work mornings...7-3...then I could go to classes after 3...and still have time for HW. I think Jess is leaving soon, and someone would have to get her hours...and I like working Cafe if it wasn't for Adam. And the weekday mornings aren't usually busy. Maybe I can talk with someone about that. I am definitely a better worker then Adam, and I've been with the company longer. That's got to count for something... right? Well, I think I've rambled on enough. ________________________________________________________
